It is also the first Spanish University in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Materials Sciences.. Very proud of joining UPC in 1974 and grateful for the possibility of starting a computer architecture department so early. We soon reached international reputation with the talent produced by UPC all along. With UPC support, I founded the Barcelona Supercomputing Center in 2005. BSC is now one of the largest supercomputing centers in Europe. Long life to the UPC!

I'm currently working in the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The UPC is a young university, but it gets more and more popular over the world. The researchers at the TSC (Signal Theory and Communications Department) are professional and friendly. It was a great pleasure to work with them.

Thanks to the UPC I have become an Engineer with a wide array of career-building experiences, both in professional and academic settings. I have had the opportunity to work as an intern in the industry while studying, travel to China with an international summer program, develop a social project, which has been implemented in India, and study at Cranfield University (UK) to obtain a second Master’s Degree.
