“In our Process Mining course, we mined a dataset to find out the different ways loan applications are processed. In theory, ineligible people get rejected while others get an offer. But there wasn’t really a standardized process. Our job was to find out from the data what the typical tracks were and why there were exceptions. Eindhoven is leading in this field, a hot topic with many opportunities and good future prospects. TU/e has high rankings and focuses on real-life applications, not just theory. It is great to have many other international students in my program. The coursework is challenging so I haven’t had much time to discover everything Eindhoven has to offer, but I enjoy riding my bike through the countryside. In the future, I’d like to work as researcher for a leading data science firm such as RapidMiner.”
